Summer Vacation
Do you like summer vacation?
Not a lot.
Why?
Because on vacation I get disappointed.
Disappointed about what?
I was thinking about doing a lot of fun stuff and I get nervous.
Nervous? Why?
Scared because what is happening gets changed.
Changed how?
I get worried when something changes like when the school bus doesn’t come in the mornings.
Don’t you like having time off?
Yes. But it makes me feed worried.
So if the routine of getting up and going to school is changed, you feel scared?
Yes. That’s right.
Did you like our adventure yesterday, when we had “no plans” and just got in the car?
Yes.
Did that make you feel nervous?
Yes.
How did you deal with that?
I prayed and stayed safe. (so proud, can't make this stuff up)
Did it turn out to be a fun day?
Yes.
Would you like to just “go with the flow” again? (CM that's for you)
Yes. I’ll try.
Even if you feel scared?
Yes.
Why would you do something that scares you?
Because I will be fine with mommy or daddy.
If you were with other people, no schedule, how does that feel?
That makes me VERY VERY VERY scared with somebody else. (yes he was yelling)

What was the best part of summer vacation?
Sesame Place was fun but I really like to push my baby dolls in the stroller.
What do you like about the baby dolls?
It makes me feel happy when they’re all looking at me. (interesting ey?)
Did you like anything else from summer break?
The roller coaster at Sesame Place.
Wow… really? What about it?
It was fun on the roller coaster hills… it makes me want to pound my tummy like this (rubbing tummy with both hands)
So that’s called losing your stomach. Do you like it or not?

Are you looking forward to starting school in a week?
I’m a little scared about that too because things might change there too.
I don’t know my bus driver, but I hope it’s the same bus from spring -- bus 246.
What if it’s a different bus honey?
Well. It just makes me want to lose my control because so much changes I get very afraid and mom, I will be nervous getting on it….. pause….. you get what bus you get and don’t get upset right mom? (I love how he redirected himself here)

Nervous.
Why?
Just the kids. I want to have the same kids in my class, just not a lot of people. Only Ms. K.
